It all began with Arbor Day in 1962, Abraczinskas Nurseries gave an individually packaged tree to each area schoolchild as part of its first Arbor Day promotion. The gesture received a great response and Arbor day promotions have now become a profitable venture for companies and civic groups seeking to fund their own goodwill efforts while meeting the needs of a greener planet--something on everyone's mind during Earth Day.

Here's how it works. Since the last Friday of April is Arbor Day throughout the U.S., this is the day the schoolchildren receive their trees. Accompanying each tree is a bag with planting instructions for each tree and your company or organization's name.
